Angie Tomey

Angie came to farming in 2000 after a short career as a botanist and found the world of horticulture to be a natural fit. Her love of the outdoors made the farm the perfect place to settle in. A self-proclaimed plant fanatic, all things green and growing inspire her to take notice, and her botanical background deeply informs the character of her work. She started Little Boy Flowers in 2010, after having her son Jude. Over the years, her love of farming has grown and transformed while her flower garden has only continued to expand. She loves hard work, beautiful things, cooking delicious food, frolicking in nature and sharing goodness with others.

Throughout her career, Angie has been lucky to study and work with some of the best floral designers in the country: Kate Holt of ‘Flowerwild’, Sarah and Nicolette of ‘Saipua’ and ‘The Little Flower School’ and Erin Benzakein of ‘Floret’. These ladies are floral magicians and have proved to be an incredible source of inspiration that informs the emotion and movement of Little Boy Flowers’ aesthetic. Angie’s designs are wild, dynamic, and full of the sort of whimsy that can only stem from an incredible attention to detail and passion for her craft.

Kale Riley

Design Lead & Client Liaison

In 2015, Kale took a job at a neighborhood flower shop and stumbled head on into the world of floral design. Just a few years into her farming career and looking to make ends meet, she was surprised to find herself captivated by the art of creating beautiful, ephemeral things. Her work at Little Boy Flowers unites what she loves most, and she thrives on days spent working outside with her hands in the earth, crafting designs that bring light and joy to the people. She believes strongly that farming is the pinnacle of team sports, that a can of sardines is the perfect lunch, and that we all hold goodness and beauty within us.
